I think so, but looking at the diagram it looks like it's being measured from the middle of faucet from the side. If that's the case I should be ok.

haha! I just looked it up too and it looks like the on off handle pulls forward so you should be fine. It is when the handle swings front to back that it can be an issue. You are fine. I would get that one. Nice to have the arc, and like color and single hole works. Done!

Flo you are awesome, you definitely save me a lot of aggravation. I wished I liked it more than I do, I may not have a choice but to get this one. Can't believe the prices either $240 each. You know me I'm tenacious, still looking.

Actually, I think you will really like that arc. It is so easy to put items under it like a small bucket for example to clean with, coffee mugs, etc. Very nice. Is it the cheapest around, no, but hey, how many do you want to buy over the next 10 years?? It should last 10 or more. Cheap ones die in a couple years, so think big picture. I realize you need two of everything in this bathroom, so it can get expensive for sure, but really so far, you haven't spent much at all for a very nice upgrade.

Your right Flo, I ordered them. thanks again!

    ;)). You will love them!

yay!! going to look good! now you need some cab hardware to match!

I think I'm going to wait on the cab hardware, it maybe too many different colors of gold. What I do need is a rug and decorative towels. Thanks again!

Replacing a kitchen sink which is better drop in or undermount in stainless steel? I know the lower the gauge numbers the better, just need to know if there are any issues with undermount?

Next question, I have this pic which I like can I put that in the bedroom above the bed or is it too girly? Shutters have been ordered, so disregard blinds. Pillows will be replaced and some type of throw will be put on the bed.

sure, why not? if it's not big and bulky for the space. colors go nicely. I might look for some different lighting though. maybe something a little less bulky. would give you more room on the nightstand too. the person on the left is assed out, eh?

Beth, are talking about the pole lamp? Lol Your too funny.

Any input about undermount sink vs drop in? If I put the picture up then I won't get a headboard. Thanks

Help!! Plumber is coming tomorrow I need any input about putting a stainless steel kitchen sink with a drop in or undermount installation? Pro and cons for both. Thanks!

Faucets are in, now waiting on the light fixtures.

Undermount sink best. Easy to clean countertop and no edges for junk to collect in.

Faucets look great. So glad you did gold. Very nice! Brightens everything up. Hardware needs to be gold too.

Thanks Flo, but the plumber is here now and there isn't enough room for the undermount because of the back of the faucet and the granite where it ends. That solved that problem, but he is installing the drop in for me.

Flo I'm afraid of doing another gold because the light fixture will be one gold the faucet another what would be the chances of me getting the same color gold for the hardware? Flo what color rug would you do?

Need help, wall is 14'9" what size tv unit should I get? Will have 65" wall mounted tv on the same wall?

u mean what size media unit to go underneath? prob 72 if the tv is 65.

Thanks. Beth! I wasn't sure if I should go to an 82". How's it going with you?

good. just got back from a nice vegas trip. (except for the losing money part, it was fun!)

We have your Florida weather here for the past few days. It's absolutely ridiculous outside. 90 w/ 50% humidity. we are normally at about 15%, so 50 is just stupid. I can't even walk outside.

Didn't you win the last time you went? Its absolutely miserable here. High humidity and terribly hot. Another few months of this and it should cool off.

Wondered where you were Beth! Hot here but storm came through yesterday and cooled things down about 20 degrees! Welcome respite. Storms predicted for next 4-5 days which keeps the temps down. Yea! Beth, I think we have been cooler than y-all. My sister who moved here from Orange County in January is kind of chuckling because her friends back in Orange are sweltering! She is fine! Adjustment at first, but now she says "it's not that bad!". She is turning into a real Texas girl, plus she has been a Cowboy's fan forever! So, we all sweat a little. Cooler days are coming.

lol. yes that storm came through yesterday. was thundering and sprinkling at 4 in the afternoon. I don't think I've ever seen any sort of rain here in August. very rare for us. As is this humidity. Flo, we were at the craps table w/a couple from Dallas. we were kidding them that no way was I moving out that way because of your humid weather. And then I came home and was smack dab in the middle of it!

and yes B, I'd won a little last time. I actually didn't lose too much. my husband though,,,,wow. lol. We went for his gold tourney for the Nev Police/Fire Games. He took the bronze medal, so it wasn't a total loss.

we r going back up in Sept for my BD, so maybe it will be better.

Congrats to hubby! I like gold and silver better! Haha! Hey B how about an update on things in bath and bedroom. Did the sliders come in yet? Carpet? Paint? Just wondering.

Well I say hubby did well, when we lived in Huntington Beach we went to Vegas quite a bit. That's the only place you can lose money and enjoy every minute of it. Lol. I loved playing poker but always lost...

Flo, the carpets in. Got the lights put up, as for the shutters there not in and won't probably be in for another month. In the mean time I just had tile put on my patio floor, but it has rained for days so it's still not grouted. Now I'm looking for a tv stand for the living room. Hey, just thought of something you gals have great imagination. Is there anything I could do with these legs to make a tv stand? Although I do need storage also. The legs are the same as my dining room..

Don't mind the mess, I got rid of my tv unit and my furniture from the patio is now in my living room. It's a mess.

wow. love that granite and the faucet and lighting! what a difference! Do the both of you like it?

what if you got a piece of glass like your table and did a media cabinet w/those legs? or something? i dunno.

B, I've been playing poker since the 80's. I used to play all of the time here at Commerce, but since I've retired, I hardly play anymore. lol go figure. I have all the time in the world but don't feel like playing anymore. I did play while we were in vegas and won about 600 in 3 hours, so it wasn't all losing up there!

Beth that was fantastic, I use to love to gamble also but we went on so many cruise ships and you know how you always gamble on the ship I also got burnt out with gambling. But there isn't any place like Vegas, some day I'll get back there. I think when we retire we're a little more cautious of how we waste our money, lol. I thought about getting crackle glass made for the legs but then I wouldn't have any storage. Did you like the tv stand I posted above?

Bathroom looks totally wonderful and upscale for very little cost. You are a genius!! (with a little help from your friends!)

Glad you have some fun and some winnings. I can't get into the Vegas scene. Went a couple of times, and in 10 minutes lost too much and figured, hey, this isn't working for me. Now my hubby won several times! On a cruise, he it for over $900 on a slot! Every bell and whistle in the place went off and we are so dumb about gambling we didn't know it was his machine! We figured it out pretty fast though. And he had only played about $20 worth. We stopped after that and spent evenings in the free theatres and other entertainments on board. The folks at our dinner table couldn't believe we didn't keep playing! We took the cash home! Loved that.

Flo thanks, with a lot of help from my friends! Flo what do you think about this tv stand for the living room? it would be opposite the couch, the wall is 14'9".

That was pretty good $900.00, my hubby isn't as lucky as your or Beth's. Lol

I love it. Can you remind me of the length of your sofa? Would it be longer than the sofa? Even though the wall is long, you really have to consider the space it will be sitting across from the sofa. I think it will be fine, just double checking. If you do decide to get it, let's make sure we set it up on my ideabooks so you can use my Trade Program code and get another 5% off! My code is FDDF3. Saves a little bit more so worth it I think. I will try to put it in my idea books now (I'll let you know where it is!) then all you have to do to order it, is go to the idea book, click on the items and go through the order process and put my code in where it indicates it.

OK, I set up "B's items" as an idea book. I also just noticed there is only 1 left!! Price is reduced as well! Good luck!

Flo, tv stand is 82.5 couch across from it is 90" will that work, or is it too big?

    Beth,

Hey Beth, I just had tile laid on the patio. They did a terrible job, but besides that what color grout would you recommend? I'm going to use polyblend grout renew, it does have grout but the color is different throughout the floor. Would you go darker than what it is? It does get rain from the open screen area. Here's a pic of it. I thought the tile guru would stear me in the right direction, lol. I was thinking either Natural Gray or Delores Gray, I don't want a light color. I was almost thinking charcoal but I'm afraid it's too dark. Thanks for your help!

    last modified: 9 years ago

why grout renew?? is there already grout down, I'm guessing??

I like that tile! DeLorean has a purpley undertone to the gray. I think I like Natural Gray out of the choices you gave me. they have other colors.

winter gray, natural gray, or maybe platinum,,, although, your tile does have a bit of purple gray,,,the delorean might work. Ive used it w/carrara tile in the past.

Thanks Beth, it does have grout but the guy did a terrible job. The tile doesn't have any purple, if anything more of a green gray. Maybe this pic is better.

what about Winter gray? has a bit of brown to it. if not, try the natural gray. if you want lighter, maybe new taupe?

    last modified: 9 years ago

For some reason I didn't see the winter gray, that may be the one. I knew the tile guru would come through. How's everything going with you? I should be getting the shutters in a couple of weeks. I didn't order the living room yet because I wanted to see how heavy they looked in our bedroom. I am still not sure what I want to put on the sliding door yet.

great. Yes, I want to see how those shutters work out. how's the bathroom? you guys happy with it?

this tile, above, where'd you find that? seems like the perfect patio tile

Omg Beth, I got it at Lowes. It's porcelain, it's just a shame this guy did such a terrible job. There is a lot of lipping in the tile but it's outside so I'm closing my eyes to it. It was sooo inexpensive so it worked out okay.

Flo, I just remembered you live in Texas. Are you and your family okay?

With all the craziness with hurricane Irma, we got our shutters installed. Love them.

Chloebud, just wanted to thank you. You pushed me to bite the bullet and order them. I waited to see what they looked like before I ordered the living room. Absolutely love them.

Wow! Those are completely awesome. Please provide the source info. And yes, we are in Sienna Plantation and of the 7,700 homes only about 50 or so got water inside (despite our worst fears) and we were one that had no water inside! Yesterday, my yard people did an awesome job of cleaning up the debris and mowing and you would never know the streets were rivers here! Of course, we moved everything we really wanted to protect to the second floor and now have to remove everything back. btw just saw an awesome idea. Put your photo albums in the dishwasher. It is water tight and will preserve your most precious items! Anyway we are totally fine. How are you fairing with Irma. Man that is going to be viscious! Praying for all our Florida Houzzers and friends and family. Hoping you heed local directions. Stay Safe!

Thanks Flo, I've been keeping up with you on your Flo our houzzer friend. I'm so happy your getting your life back to normal. Take your time putting things back downstairs. It will get there sooner or later, lol. As for the shutters they're made by Norman woodlore plus. It's a bipass shutter. I waited to see them, before I ordered the living room. I love that it has an invisible tilt.

Irma is moving a little more west, which is a little better for us. We're in central Florida about 30 miles from the ocean. We're prepared as best that we can be. Thanks for the prayers, my family is in south Florida that's really concerning me.

These look like vertical blinds ... What is wrong with them ?
Open them and you see how wonderful they look ...then open the whole thing during the day ..to enjoy the sliding doors .if you don't like to kind of vertical blind ...then get curtains ..I happen to like the look as is ...but ...to each it's own !

Silviakunst I replaced the verticals with the shutter. I like them because you can let light in and still have privacy.

B,,,those look so good! what a diff over the verticals. Chloebud,,good call!

Thanks Beth, I definitely like them!
