I'm thinking about doing shutters on most of the main level of my home but have an open 18' foot ceiling family room area (with two windows one on top of each other) that I would like to put shades on since I want to be able to motorize the top window. The home is pretty open concept so you would be able to see the shutters in the kitchen which opens to the family room area. Would these two window treatments work together or should we just do shutters everywhere or silhouettes everywhere? Windows are quite large, approx. 90x60. Our style is more transitional. We also have two young kids so need something practical.
