What variety are you growing? After blooming the plants have usually peaked and start to show age which means that the potatoes may be ready to harvest soon. I dug up my Yukon Golds about 3 weeks after the bloom stage as the plants were drooping over and browning up. YGs are a short season variety.

I'm growing Adirondack Blue and Austrian Crescent. The AB flowered about 2 weeks ago and the AC about a week ago. The plants are just starting to look a little tired but are not looking ready to harvest yet. I was going to wait a couple more weeks. Just hoping this isn't some terrible disease that will put all my months of growing for naught.

Laura - probably nothing to worry about. From what I can see it is just normal decline of the plants. I just harvested my Austrian Crescents last night and got a pretty good harvest of 13 lbs. from 1 lb (10) of seed potatoes.
