Need to replace fireside chairs

The white fireside chairs will be replaced with a taller arm chair, transitional in style. My question is...what color chair fabric should I chose?
Picture #1 shows the two white chairs along side the fireplace. They are 31" high and 30" wide.
Picture 2-4 shows the area and colors.

Perhaps a rust red similar to your cushions, would look lovely, add richness in colour

I like the chair, where can I find out more about it?

Wow, I just have to say that your room is already stunning!

I agree it looks crowded. Try jck10's suggestion or just remove the chairs by the fireplace. Not sure you need anything there. A clear view of the fp could be nice.

I agree that the room will be beautiful and opened up by going without. Do you need the seating? If so, is it used daily or just when you have visitors? If it's only used occasionally maybe a couple of small ottomans or something would take up less space but be useable seating when you have company. If you do decide to get chairs, I wouldn't get anything bigger in scale than what you have now, and I would keep the color similar to the current color. A dark color will make the room appear crowded and detract from your beautiful fireplace.

As suggested, I moved the swivel chairs to the FP. Better?

I should have mentioned earlier that the tv is behind the mirror and now the swivel chairs are close for neck comfort, now what should I do?

I'm picking one 55 x 43 modern art picture for this space. Do you like any of these below?

It is a Madison Park Maxwell club chair from Wayfair

I like the swivel chairs by the FP. Separate them more so they're not in front of FP and pull them about 6-12 inches back toward the sofa so it is easier to watch the TV. Where do you plan to hang the art? Your room is traditional.

I like that better and agree the chairs could be moved per jck10's suggestion.

I separated and pulled the swivels toward the sofa as told. Better?

Below is the wall for the extra large modern art.

I also included a pic of the aqua pool the living area looks out to....im showing it to you bc there's aqua in the modern art. I thought I should point that out bc there's no aqua in the Interior space. Idk if you need to know this....I'm not smart at all.....I really like your help.

Do you like the mustard gold/green-blue/ white material?

I picked it bc it has colors in my table chair fabric (shown in photo) and modern art.

You are smart & you have done a great job with your room. What is the mustard fabric for?

You did it. You transformed my space and I love the changes.
I stayed up till midnight working on the house. You motivated me to edit and rearrange the items in the built ins! Thank you so much!

To answer your mustard color question, there's mustard color in the modern art work and in the existing table chair fabric. Last night I posted the picture of that fabric (predominately red fabric)

Would you like to see where I placed the French chairs that was once by the fireplace before I post it in Design Dilemma?

There is no hard and fast rule that you MUST natch the color and style of art to the style and colors of the room. If a piece of art "speaks" to you, then go ahead and get it. Removing those two chairs was a good idea. I would add some decorative pillows in a print or stripe that goes with the colors in the room for interest. All solids in a space are boring, IMHO.

I don't think the mirror over the fireplace is working for the room. Try this.

The TV is behind the mirrors, as it looks like something you can just pull the knobs when one wants to watch it.

Secludede, I like it so much better without those two extra chairs. Can you try angling the chairs in a bit toward each other?

Shrlipp, yes, you're right it is a tv behind the mirror, however it does need to be framed up or something. Ideas?

Shirlpp, the second picture would be perfect. I'll ask the trim carpenter to build it up. Thank you very much.

As long as you're going to have your guy build you something, you may want to consider a different scale for the TV cabinet. Right now the top seems too low in proportion to the height of the space, and then the wall is blank above it. Notice how in the picture you like, the cabinet is close to the height of the wall, and then above it there is trim to visually fill in the blank space.

I hope you don't think that all the advice you are getting means your space wasn't already beautiful - it was! All this input is just fine-tuning :).

You are very welcome! Make sure he builds it to accommodate a larger TV that you might consider in the future. I agree - your home is very lovely.
