Thinking about a pool.....where to put, fencing ???

We have 80 acres that we will be building on. The area we will be building on is close to a railroad track (used only a few times a week and the train goes slow so should be neat!) Our driveway will be about 1/3 mile from the country road. Our house is completely blocked from everywhere. The (new build) house itself will be on a portion of the land that is 13 acres of trees. House will be a ranch with walkout basement. So any pool area would be at basement level.

Out of 4 previous homes, 3 of them came with a pool. I never thought I really wanted a pool, but building in trees has me thinking about it. Kiddos will be 8, 11, 12 when house is done.

My mom and my hubby said the pool could go on the North side of home where the garage and master bedroom are. We are planning a hot tub on our master deck. This area could be fenced in to hold a pool.

The opposite side of the house (South side) will have the kitchen/dining/living and large main level deck (with fireplace and outdoor kitchen). Below the deck will be a patio. There is a sweet valley area to the South of this. I think this would be a fantastic view from a pool. Plus, if we had adults and kids over for a pool party, there would be multiple areas to hang out. This is not an area that a fence would work.

We are outside a town of 1,000 people. The rules here are pretty lenient. I am doubting there are going to be rules regarding putting up a fence. If I were in town or anywhere accessible to children coming along and trying to take a dip, I would be all over the safety of a fence. My idea on fences is now to keep my cows and chickens in line!

Assuming the city doesn't care....

What would you do? Would you put a pool on the bedroom side of the house? The views from the pool on that side are just forest, which is great for a hot tub for 2....but not where I would envision hanging out watching my kids play.

Or would you put the pool on the same side as the kitchen/dning/etc? I can work on cooking/canning and still keep an eye on the kids. Plus the area would be really fantastic for a pool. May have a few deer drinking from it and a few dead squirrels without a fence. FWIW, we will also have a few ponds on the property and those will not be fenced obviously.
