Are these ten foot ceilings? We are raising the ceiling in our kitchen and it was suggested that we put back soffits to fill the space?

    They are ten foot ceilings. We don't usually have contemporary cabinets go all the way to the ceiling. We don't usually build a bulk head down either, it doesn't look right
