Nothing wrong with a nice white subway tile backsplash.

it all depends on how much of the stone you will be using if on an island you could go with something like these , if on a counter top pick a plain colour ,look for the lightest shade in the stone .

Off white to light cream subway tile either 3" x6" or 4" x 12". Please don't try to compete with the granite but complement it.

Do you have a photo of the kitchen ? Just by looking at those tiles that you chose with no gleam to them my answer is no for now.

Way too much movement on floor, countertops so I can see why you need quiet on the backsplash. I would do 4x12 or longer subways in bone coloring. The fewer grout lines the better, and use grout the same color as the tiles you get. Good luck! Nice kitchen, just keep tweaking it.

the rustic backsplash will look good with the cabinets, the counter top stone looks a bit busy from here but if you put the 2 of them together and stand far from it you will see what we don't ,computer screens can be difficult sometimes .

I think so but it has a lot of variation itself. may take away from the granite.

thanks I would prefer the white subway but hubby says no. The backsplash is more of a gray color but here its more beige looking lol

when we went to the design center for our new house build we picked out Emser beveled subway tile in FAWN. it looked like a very light tan at the design center. We thought it would bring out the tans in the Verona white granite we picked.

Once it was installed, it looks very gray. It still looks really good with Verona white granite and the dark cabinets. at least we think so. we are very happy with our choice.

The one Amity is showing is a much better type of choice. The ones you posted are pretty and I see why you like them but they will be too busy with your counters.

Emser has a great beveled 3x6 glossy with a slightly irregular surface. It might satisfy your need (or hubby's) for some variability in the surface. The sample stone you showed however looks decidedly black and white! If that is true you need to stay with white or maybe light gray glass. I can't really tell what that countertop looks like. Could you post a picture a bit closer kind of looking down on granite? Getting concerned we aren't seeing the right tones in the stone.

It looks black and white with possible green blotches? How would you describe it. No offense on your hubby, but most men are colored blind so make sure you are taking colors into consideration. If that granite is as white as I think it is, you need white backsplash or green glass. Green would look good with flooring can cabinet colors.

Could you put a Salt and pepper against the sample so we can see better true color of that granite?

I agree that that small sample looks really different than the original photo of the large slab. The big slab looks really creamy and the little one doesn't at all.
