I went with Comfortex linen cellular shades in my master bath. Some of the cellular shades seemed so papery to me. The ones I got are much more of a linen look and feel. So far I'm very happy with them

I have the Hunter Douglas shades and like them. Sorry, can't help with comparing them to Levolor.

Hunter Douglas has a bigger selection, better warranty, and is a higher quality. If you're planning on being in your new home for a while, it's well worth the additional expense. They'll last longer.

I would not mix them up. Hunter Douglas from a reputable retailer or designer is a superior quality.

Honestly , it also depends if you're using these as simply occasional privacy, or if they are the sole window treatmemant.

There are many more stylish, options that can do MORE. In other words... less utilitarian

Jan thanks so much. We are building a new home and we have a very large wall of windows. Each window is 5'x 8'. We want to have clean modern blinds with wired electric. If you have any other recommendations we would appreciate them. I have contacted hunter douglas and I appreciate your help! :)

Allison - it worked out fine for us. I had a budget restraint because we had to spend money elsewhere in our home. I had to replace the flooring, amongst many other things, which cost a lot. It was 4x the cost and my husband received a huge discount with Levolor for being in the military. So we went with them. So far so good. However, I wanted something simple as well. I went with the highly quality within that brand. Hope that helps. Congrats on your new home.

Jan is right. They are awesome options. If you have no budgetary restraints go for it. I told my friend to go with them bc she only had 3 windows. I had 25 windows :-(.

How are the cellular blinds in relations to insulation from the elements? I live in Palos Hills, Illinois and it gets very cold in the winter and summer I get plenty of sunlight.

Yes, I am still happy with them. Looks brand new and we had great customer service. So far so good and it’s been theee years.
