Miele Haul

When you're near the Miele Gallery and come home with all your favorite laundry products (ultra whites, ultra colour, sportswear) and DW tabs. They offered me a latte as well. Love it there :)

I live 33 miles from a center or I can take the train for 28 minutes so I really should get myself to it.

Can you tell us who manufactures ultra White and the color detergents? I am not sure the same company makes it anymore.

    Thanks in advance

I've yet to try any of the Miele laundry products. When I'm out of Tide w/Bleach powder, maybe I'll try the Ultrawhite.

    Nice haul!

I'm a huge Miele fan but not especially of their laundry products. Didn't love the ultra-white, didn't like the fabric softener which smelled like nail polish remover to me. Don't see why I would pay the premium when others offer similar/better performance. My 2 cents.

Ultra White is ok but not as good as Persil Megaperls or Perls. Was thinking about it for a replacement to Perls since it is no longer available. Wanted to know who makes it because the last time I bought the fabric softener it was made by a different manufacturer and I don't like it so wondering who is making the ultra White now.

The ultrawhite and ultracolour liquid and powder are still made my Kruessler. Fabric softener is now made by McBride, Belgium and smells as roccocgurl describes.

Canada doesn't have as many options like Tide with bleach. I'm not a fan of German Persil scents although I do like the lavender. Miele works well for me and I like it. I haven't smelled the new FS since they changed manufacturers.

Thanks Aamassther that's what I needed to know. The original fabric softener was nice, left things soft with a soapy fragrance. I've had two bottles of the new FS. Not crazy about the scent and in each bottle the liquid became thick and unusable when I was about half way through the bottle, so I know to avoid it. I was afraid the detergents were made by this same new company. Glad they are not

    Thanks again.

Ecover makes a much better fabric softener IMO. Made in France somehow (no idea why). My German Persil has lasted forever. When it's gone I'll try to find it somewhere again.

Better Products Online still sells authentic German persil.

The last two bottles of Miele fabric softener....I had to return. It was literally SO thick, it would NOT pour out of the bottle. The original scent was never amazing, but fine. It now smells like a toxic, chemical cocktail. Awful softener!!! :(

I only use Shaklee FS now so I didn't bother to smell the new Miele at the gallery. This gallery is part of the Miele Canada head office so it's pretty big and fancy. They have kitchens and do big events and demonstrations too.

I'm with you on the Shaklee FS! Thank goodness they've not messed with the scent again!

Yes that one time change was horrible. I still have two bottles of that I never got around to complaining officially about.

I think I was one of the squeaky wheels on that one. I bought the new scent, complained, got a refund. Then saw they had both sku's still on the website, bought 3 of the old stock, got new stock. Complained and was refunded again. The new scent gave me a headache when used on sheets- that's unusual for me. That and it was dreadful. Then awhile later saw your message that the old scent was back and did the happy dance. I'm forever grateful. Lol

When my kids got near me with that horrible scent I'd gag lol. I think the newer one was the newer formula with the old scent. It softens so well and I love the scent.

Yes, old scent. I remember it from when I started using Shaklee in 1981. It's an iconic scent to me, that had remained unchanged until the debacle several years ago. The other for me is their Handwash, which is the old Meadowfoam body/hand wash.

Agreed, I first used it on sheets and had to change the pillowcases in the middle of the night.
