Good question. The 4w LED is equivalent to a 35w incandescent. It outputs 350 lumens of light and these can be dimmed.

I'd like to go in the other direction....making the lights brighter! I have them as task lighting over the kitchen island and need them much brighter. Suggestions? I already have a dimmer switch installed!

We have a brighter bulb that we offer that will provide more light. Both a 6w and an 8w bulb. Both are similar in Lumens but will produce about 750 lumens of light or approximately the equivalent of a 60 watt incandescent bulb. The light that they produce is omnidirectional and not task lighting.

What some people do is get the fixtures and just see how the bulbs work in their space. If the bulbs aren't perfect the fixtures accept standard e26 medium base bulbs (very very common) and you can go to your local hardware store and get the type of bulb that will work for your situation, like an LED task light.

I actually have a 3 pendant chandelier over my dining room table and went and got some task lighting for them and it really helped out a lot. I kept the other bulbs that originally came with it as spares.
