We are planning to do laminate parquet flooring in our living and corridor leading to the bedrooms. Currently all walls are white. We have a dark brown sofa and have ordered walnut furniture mixed with some shelves/drawers in sand lacquer. We also plan to have a feature wall (painted in same scale of the lacquer color) in the living room.

We have a dilemma on the skirting colour. Some suppliers suggested that it should be the same as the skirting and others said that white skirting would give a more modern look.

Also for the feature wall, someone suggested that we would do all skirting white and then paint the skirting of the feature wall with the same color.

Would like to hear some hints and opinions on this.
