Sinks placement - look vs. functionality

Help please! we've purchased a 60" double vanity, and trying to decide on sink placement. If we center the sinks to the cabinets below, the sinks will be sitting too close to the wall on each side, with only about 3" of counterspace on each side, and lots of room in the middle. Will it look odd to have the sinks placed closer to the middle, which will add about 2" more on each side, but will not be centered to the cabinets below?

If anyone has pictures of that might look like i'd love to see them!

Keep them centered on the cabinets below.

I have not seen any vanities with sinks installed off center from the cabinets or drawers below them.
I would keep them centered. I don't think adding an extra 2" on the wall sides will give you more functionality, but rather it will take away functionality. I think it's better to have a one larger space in the middle. Doing it the way you're suggesting will take away a full 4" from that area and you will only be gaining a puny 2 inches on the wall sides.

We requested bigger drawers in the middle of our cabinets during home construction and ended up with only an inch or so between sink edge and wall/end of cabinet. Absolutely no regrets here. Do it!

NKBA recommends the sink center line be 15" minimum off any wall. If you can follow that guideline and keep your sink centered on the cabinet, even better.

I have to say that we went against conventional wisdom and did a double vanity with only one sink on the right-hand side. It is so rare that my husband and I are washing our hands are brushing our teeth at the same time, and when we are we are more than happy to share. What is much more common is that one of us is getting ready or plucking eyebrows or something else while the other one is brushing their teeth. I know that I am much happier having more counterspace and no second sink.

That's what I was thinking too. Keep them centered but get smaller sinks or semi vessel type.

Keep centered, smaller sink if at all possible. Guessing at measurements here, 24+12+24? If so, a 15” sink would leave 4.5” on either side?
