My front porch has no life to it. It is not welcoming, What can I do with this? Are the bushes In the way? The porch isn't big but it needs something.

I would vote remove the large bushes so you can see it better and it could give the feel or a larger space that way as well. Also maybe paint your door a more vibrant color so it sticks out some.

I love the front porch! I would agree to replace the large bushes with smaller ones. Also place beautiful large pots with planted flowers on the porch to add some height and color. I agree with Verona.. paint your front door a color that brings you joy and complements the brick color. The white siding & ceiling, many windows and white columns make the porch bright and inviting. Just need a little tweaking to landscaping and door color. Good luck!

Do you need the columns? They seem to be in the way. Have them removed and the space will open up (if structural, see if a beam and carry the load. Its cheaper than you think).

I'm 45, always through the round trimmed bushes look dated (might be my generation).

As stated, small bushes plus a brighter door will make the space look grander. Not of fan of the pavers and brick mix, and stain the concrete. Hid a light in the bed to shine on the across the door way for drama.

I would replace bushes with colorful and lower plants. Will change the whole picture.

Add some planters in colors to match your door!

I love the idea of adding more pottery to this entryway. I have attached photos of what customers have done with our pots for stunning entryways! I definitely agree that taking out the shrubs and placing lower plants with some color would be a great addition! Definitely have fun with it and add your favorite colors.

Remove the large bushes and then repost. The columns are very pretty and you might find that when you can see the beauty of the porch, it doesn't really need anything else.

I agree with Kendrah, removing the bushes might be the key alone, start with that and then see what you like.

Big bushes gone. What do you think?? Big planters next?

Wow it looks great! Your porch looks so much larger and welcoming already! I would maybe add some planters with some color but be careful not to go to big or it will be the bushes all over again. Were they a pain to take out, are you happy with the change?

Feels more inviting already. The planters are good. Add color... Planters could be blue or another color you like. Mums are plentiful if you want an easy choice of flowers. Pillows on the rockers.

I am sooo glad those bushes are gone. They were a pain! I may even take the little ones out and put something smaller there. I appreciate everyone's ideas and help!

Good move with the big bushes. I think the porch itself is fine, but that concrete walkway is a bit bleak. And it's really big.

Looks great! You may not even need the planters after all. May want to invest that money in colorful flowers at the front of the beds instead. I agree with a pillow on each of the rockers to add color as well. Maybe even paint the rockers if you're up for that.

We would suggest trimming down the bushes into manageable sizes so they don't block the view of the porch. Add colorful seat cushions and/or throw pillows to the rockers and then maybe flank them with planters filled with annuals. Maybe a nice welcome mat if you don't already have one. That will really brighten up your porch!
