Rust? Gee whiz! Can you post a picture of it, please?

thanks for your help. I just got most off with a non scratch pad and some lime and rust remover.and elbow grease. no scratches the bottom of the ice and water dispenser sometimes dribbles down so the border of that against the door of the freezer is starting to slightly corrode. great Ill take a picture as soon as the rust starts again...its not all off but now you have to inspect it to see . I have all kitchenaid appliances and have not the trouble with them as with this "new" side by side problem.. I also had some computer panel blow out about a year ago that controlled making ice cubes.. got it fixed.

sammy here is a picture of the rust between the handles that i did not see.....also i have a picture of what a 3 yo kitchenaid refrigerator looks like when it corrodes at the ice dispenser....enjoy

Has anyone else had issues with rust like this? We were planning to purchase a Kitcenaid frig for our basement bar in our new build.

We have had three SxS KA refrigerators: two standard depth and one counter depth. Never had a rust mark on any of them. Never had corrosion at the dispensers either but we always kept them very clean. We did get calcium deposits around the water dispenser but that would happen with any brand due to our hard water.
