can you at least do the bottom window trim in black?? kind of yawnsville. Paint just the inner trim at the very least. the outer trim would look good too. or pick a rich navy and do the trim and the shutters.

The white is beautiful. Give the front door a pop of color like red. And perhaps the lower windows you could trim out in black if you wanted more contrast.

There were shutters on ALL of the windows when we bought the house! I plan to fix the proportions of the upper ones when we do the job ;).

I love the white. Very classic. As others have suggested, you can always paint the door a fun color. I might add, though, that improving the landscaping would make a huge different. Expand your plantings out several feet and remove what's overgrown. You need landscaping that balances the height of your house. Beautiful place -- best wishes!

Love the white. I agree with Beth regarding the bay windows needing some trim/contrast with the white siding.

We plan to clear and start over with the landscaping too! This is the main image I keep coming back to for inspiration with white. White on white (or a slightly off-white or light gray)

That's a beautiful picture, AP, of the light grey on white! I like it on the door too. Much more classy than a red door in my opinion. Though I do like red doors. Just not at your place.

That pathway and the shrubs on either side of it would give your house that extra feel too. You have very good insights. The front lawn in the picture has too much open sand. That will just grow lots and lots of weeds. So be careful with that.
