Why not just buy a regular glass interior door, apply translucent/frosted film to it, and a laundry decal?

Your opening looks wider than a standard door. Is there room for a pocket door on the wall to the right?

I like suzyq's idea, though retrofitted pocket doors can be a bit pricey. But I do think a pocket door would make the best use of the space. Bifolds would be an additional option, as almost everyone equates bifolds with being some sort of storage.

There's a bedroom to the right of the laundry room. I saw the door at home depot, but I wasn't crazy about the wash bucket picture, but I may have to get that one. My SIL tried that film over her glass panels and there were bubbles everywhere. Don't want to ruin it..........
