Dark Wood Floors

Are dark wood floors going out? I’ve seen many options for grey woods but I’m nervous about those being trendy. Thoughts?

I find grey wood floors trendy. Dark wood is less in favor, yet is still classic (hard to keep looking nice between cleanings though). I think Medium brown floors are both in and classic.

I agree with simstress. Dark floors look very lovely throughout a home. However, I would never consider using them in our house. They might stay clean looking if you live alone and do not move around.

We have had natural ash for 31 years. They are wonderfully easy to maintain and they work with anything.

We have dark wood floors, live in the country with gardens, kids & grand kids. The floors look great with minimal care, we take our shoes off inside & maybe that's why.

Gray floors are a trend that's fading. Dark wood is a classic, but it's not always practical which is why it's not used a ton. I have it and never will again, but that's only because we have a Golden Retriever so the moment after we're done sweeping/vacuuming it already looks dirty again.
