I live in FL, zone 9 and have 2 Brown Brackens in the yard- a bud appeared on one last week (Nov 1 or so) but it turned brown and barely opened with the flower brown as well?? The leaves are cinnamon brown underneath their glossy green so I am assuming they are BB's - I thought they were a miniature magnolia because the old home owners planted them about 6 feet and 8 feet from the pool screened enclosure?? Any advice would be appreciated as I love magnolias- I will snap a picture later; maybe someone can tell me the variety for sure ;) thanx
