Do you have a colorstory for your house? An inspiration piece of art or fabric print to give you color direction so rooms flow? Thank you...It's a place to have a conversation with nice atmosphere ...the media room is on the other side. With a wow...what do you think of a long mirror on the right side oval ..It's a real bright room from the sun.

No I don't have a color story just moved into this new place.

ps - if you don't have a color story for your house, imagine how this could play out in other public spaces. Pale pearl gray and cream linens, chairs and drapery fabrics in a dining room with red walls, camel upholstery and cream built ins in the media room with some gingham russet pillows with pewter walls that flow from the entry. Though the fabrics are fresh takes on classic prints, the color story feels bright and happy. Add lots of modern art and the whole house feels contemporary and young.

Either of those sofas will work I think. Which one is more comfortable?

I have a room with great morning light - are the windows on the east or the south? Because my morning room is not really bright after noon - nice and light but not super bright. I need to see all the walls in the room or a floor plan to help you with layout - do the double doors lead to the entry hall or the master bedroom or the media space, and where does the single door on the left go?

I also went back and examined your photo more closely and see the turquoise elements in the living room. These would be fabulous with your brown things - something about aqua and brown. If you like the garnet and cream idea (whether you use it with gray or without) then imagine these two things in your media space with the sectional. I have a space like this between bedroomw but window is arch. I will turn it into a summer sitting area for morning tea and just a place to relax. Since you too have a lot of light coming through, you could do the same.

I will add two chairs with footstool and a round table with another shelf under it ( glass perhaps) for holding magazines or newspapers. The corner will have tall plants and I may well add a console table with some decors. Still not yet fully decided yet: I am also thinking of one of those round seats to put in the center.
