We have Quartzite Bianca countertops (aka "luce da luna") that look just like this. I read numerous blogs before purchasing the slab about etching and had our fabricator do an overnight test with ketchup, oil and wine. None of those etched, but now that we have it installed, WATER etches it! Just be aware that while some are marketing quartzite as having the look of marble but durability of granite.. it can etch. I also found out others were experiencing oil stains on this material.. found out silicone based sealers can attract oil stains (great at repelling water but attract oil). I sealed ours with one by Superior Stone Products which contains no silicone and so far no oil stains. The good news is if you love this material and it etches, I rubbed a little baking soda on the etches and they are gone! Good luck.
