THANK YOU!!! Saving (wishing we still had the bookmark) for future reading.

I wish my save button worked, but it doesn't.

Thanks, CPA. There are two Part Twos, just as with Part One. Greatly appreciated. :-)

Virgil, found it and added it.

¡Muchas gracias!

CPA, looks like the Part Two link needs updated. It is pointing to the Part Two Continued thread.

This is my 1st post. I'm not much of a writer lol. I just wanted to say THANKS. I have learn a lot from Virgil, CPA, & Sophie. You guys are most wonderful. So yeah, the end. Carry on :-)

Forgive me as I don't well know how to navigate these boards yet. Parts 2, 2 cont'd., and 3 say page does not exist. Is there a glitch, or a way to search for these? We are in the "pay off young-adult-stupidity-debt phase and plan for buying/renovating or building in the next 18 months-3 years" phase. I'm trying to do my homework now. Thank you!

Honestly, I don't know why the links are not working. They were working a week ago.

Here is

Part II

It appears the rest have disappeared.

Houzz is playing update games. They have their elves working overtime and it's driving everyone a bit nuts. You never know what you're going to see.

When I click on CPA's original posting at the top of this thread, I get a connection to all the links. The only problem with CPA's original posting is that she posted "Part 2, Continued" to each of the Part 2 postings. The posting above, "Part II", is the first part of Part 2. In sequence, it's followed by Part 2, Continued. Clear as mud?

Virgil I click on the links for 2 and 3 and get page not found.

I have to wait for the book again?

I get the same as CPA, page not found. Thank you all.

Here they are in sequence:

Part 1: https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5080730/tips-for-buying-land-designing-and-building-a-custom-home-part-1-of-3?n=3

Part 1, Continued: https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5079538/tips-for-buying-land-designing-and-building-custom-home-part-1-continued

Part 2:https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5079485/tips-for-buying-land-designing-and-building-a-custom-home-part-2?n=2

Part 2, Continued: https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5079488/tips-for-buying-designing-and-building-a-custom-home-part-2-continued?n=20

Part 3: https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5079491/tips-for-buying-land-designing-and-building-a-custom-home-part-3?n=7

I may wait a day or two and then try again. Your links, even those you just compiled in kindness, still give a Page not Found error. Thank you for your willingness and knowledge shared.

@ Virgil Carter, Taken together, these are an incredibly valuable resource for anyone considering purchasing land and building a custom home. Very well done! I suggest you weave these together into a single article and get Houzz.com to publish it on their site so it is easier for folks to access.

Thank you very much, Charles. Now if someone can only figure out the access problem...

The first 3 links work for me but not other other 2. Elves I tell you.

Thank you! I've book marked this thread on my browser, and hopefully someday will need all this wisdom!

bump

I don't know why the last links no longer work.

"Part two continued" and "Part three" missing. I printed the first three so they won't disappear on me. Just in case I ever build.

The last two are still not working. I found the first three very informative. Thank you

If you have them saved, post and message me before Houzz sends them to Never Never Land.

ETA: I am printing a hard copy of anything I really want to save. I learned that the hard way with HGTV and RATE My Space. I had a lot saved and they just dumped it.

I really hope those posts weren't lost forever. There was a ton of valuable information.

I realize this is an old thread but I would love to read Part II continued and Part III if anyone has access... the links just say page not found.. thanks

These work for me. Give them a try:

Part 2, Continued: https://www.houzz.com/discussions/tips-for-buying-designing-and-building-a-custom-home-part-2-continued-dsvw-vd~5079488

Part 3: https://www.houzz.com/discussions/tips-for-buying-designing-and-building-a-custom-home-part-2-continued-dsvw-vd~5079488

They don't work for me, Virgil. Could it be the links themselves? Did you use the "insert link" button under the comment box? I've noticed that copying and pasting links in a comment doesn't seem to work anymore.

Let's try these:

What are you doing to make your house enrich your life?

Let know please whether they, or which ones, work or don't work, and I can see if there's any more rejiggering to be done.

They all work! Thank you so much, Becky.

They all work for me. Thanks!!

Thank you, Becky! :-)

Yay : ) . Too valuable to lose!

Thank you!! I agree this is sooo helpful!
