Hello everyone, I am Suzanne. We are remodeling the kitchen of our 1920's Tudor home. I have found the kitchen that I am totally in love with but would like to make one change. Whereas the kitchen I love has an island that is painted antique white with a brown glaze ( same as the cabinets and trim) I would like to have a bit of color. My choice is to paint the island sherwin williams red bay, a deep rustic muted red color, and top if off with the same brown glaze.Or a deep taupe grey which is in my tile. The great look about the glaze is when you "hang it up" in the creases and corners of the cabinet and drawers of the island you get an antiqued look. The granite countertops are Saint Cecelia which has droplets of red which I have been told are actually rubies, and deep gray. I will incorporate red/gray into the tile rug in front of my sink, the back splash and in my banquette pillows. Please look at the pictures I have downloaded and give your option of this idea.
