Help me decide what light to use in my kitchen

In the process of redoing lighting in our kitchen (apologies for the mess, but I'm soooo busy!), and I'm looking for something that is nautical and original, and a friend of mine who recently built their house told me about a guy in Florida who restores real ship lights....he isn't cheap, but his stuff is one of a kind and it suits me to a T. Anyway, I've got a few things shortlisted, but I'd like to hear everyone's opinion. I'm going to have our handyman replace the cheap one I bought on Amazon a few years ago, which is hanging in the breakfast nook in the center of the photo below.

I like the style of the choices, but I am also concerned about the size and weight, they are all at least 50 pounds. Notice the first fixture is hanging from wood ceiling beam, and that is what I think you would need to properly support any of those fixtures. They were not designed to be hanging from drywall, they were designed for a boat, to withstand weather and salty water. Instead, I would use those lights as your inspiration for whatever fixture you get. I would think a good design professional could find similar style, not cheaply (but you already said that these were not cheap either).

Nice kitchen. Beautiful lamps, but they seem large and heavy for the area. To me it would seem more suitable over a large butcher block dining table.

Way too big and heavy. Did you note the shipping weights? Use one outside.

Hmm...ok, thanks for the ideas everyone! The entryway is probably a more appropriate placement...the size/weight isn't really an issue, given the way we currently mount our chandelier...in fact, these lights are actually about the same size and weight as the chandelier.

I don't want reproduction lights because you can spot them as cheap knock-offs from a mile away. I think the nautical light will definitely provide the wow factor, compared to a lot of the off-the-shelf stuff out there. Nothing compares to the real-deal, as far as I'm concerned. Will keep you posted on the progress!

It's hard to see the real "scale" of things from the photos and then translate them to your space, but the 2nd one seems the most preferable to me.

I like your choices but they are too large for your space. Also, very heavy and you would probably have to reinforce around junction boxes to support the weight. Easier to do during a reno or new construction. There are plenty of reproduction lights fixtures suitable. Your local lighting stores can help you make a suitable selection based on specifications.
