My mom's survives in zone 8 N. FL. Every year. I would be really surprised if your didn't make it.

Thank you all. Good news! I checked on them yesterday and all the lantanas and my firespukes too have new shoots. Nothing on the milkweeds yet.

Bea, I've always had lantanas come back even when I mow them down. But sometimes the milk weed doesn't if yours don't come back I would be happy to clone you some of mine and send them to you.

Glenn thank you for your generous offer but I'm ok. The milkweeds I wobdered about are the four in my flower bed that will attract monarchs this summer to lay eggs on them. However I also have another 16 potted plants that I put in my GH that I use to feed the caterpillars. So if the garden plants didnt make it I'll start new plants from cuttings.

I'm in Sarasota and grow Milkweed and Lantana. I find the Milkweed die off after getting stripped repeatedly. Some of mine make it a year, others die off. I always take cuttings and have them ready to go as older Milkweed die off.

Lantana, you can't kill those suckers. Even the cold weather didn't bother them. They can get invasive here and I have to keep them under control.
