How was this constructed?

The details on this screen are top notch. Can you tell me how it was constructed? Do the stainless pins hold the slats in place? Is the vertical tube continuous? How was it secured to the floor and ceiling? Are the slats solid lumber? Any concern with warping? Thanks so much!
