Need help deciding on dryer

I'm getting lost in all the reviews.

My Miele Touchtronic T9800 Dryer has died after 7.5 years. The moisture control sensor does not work, it only operates on the 45 minute warm cycle. repair guy charged $450 to replace the sensor, it still doesn't work, now they want another $400 to replace another part (the control board). Miele has been terrific, but broken is broken. The repair company has agreed to refund all but $250, and we're just giving up and going with a new dryer.

No idea what to get. I have the matching Miele washer, love it, but it also is probably going to give up the ghost in another few years. Would like to buy with an eye towards needing a new washer in a few years.

Looking for a front loader, steam features seem interesting and would be nice, we are a family of 8 so laundry gets done multiple times a day. Reliability is key.

Recommendations? I had my eye on the Maytag MEDB955FC, it has a 9.2 cu ft drum - but is that even necessary? I mean, I'm limited by how big the washer's drum is and it seems most front loaders are 4.5 cu ft so I'm not sure going big on the dryer is even a necessity.

The LG machines look super nice, and are tempting, but I'm very worried about all the negative reviews and IF it turns out to need repair, how unreliable and frustrating that experience can be. I was eyeing the WM5000HVA.

HELP PLEASE!!
