What kind of dog is it? What kind of coat?

Dogs ars brushed to remove excess loose hair and because they enjoy it. I don’t think you could leave your dog with a rough look after brushing.

I have a tangle teezer and the fuzzy roommates love it so much the brush now belongs to them.

I don't know if it's "the best", but I have the Furminator.

All my dog brushes were originally brushes I used. Even my best cat brush is a round brush, with two types of bristles, that didn't work well on my hair.

Can you please show some pictures of your pet so that I can understand what kind of grooming brushed do you need.

I use a simple and inexpensive brush made by Kong for my dog’s thick layered coat. It’s a rubber(ish) type brush that helps to control shedding. It works great and she loves the massage it gives her. It’s not a detangler though, if you have a breed with long and/or fine hair it may not be a good option. They have a couple of different sizes available and are sold on Amazon & Chewy.com for 5-6 dollars.
