I thought when I retired I would have lots of free time but I have gotten in way over my head joining exercise classes, playing pickle ball (which I love), and hiking. I'm even thinking of joining a birds watching group. But Hey this is what retirement is all about, right? Eddie and I even agreed to keep Elijah, our little 10 month old Grandson 2 days a week. Boy is he active, never still. When you hold him he tries to climb to the top of your head. Mine and Eddie's hair is both sticking straight up when he leaves.

I received my fantastic box from Shirley today (apparently it was delivered on Sat, separate from reg mail, and I didn't discover it till this afternoon). Everything is well though. I planted the fabulous plants already: Black Anvil Iris and My Friend Wayne Daylily. Shirley also sent some apple jelly, a couple kinds of chocolate, a calendar, notebook, dishtowels, and some great looking seeds. Shirley always outdoes herself. :)
