Since your sofa is off center of the wall, as it should be, I am not sure I would put art over it. Art over the chair would be nice. That little chair in the corner looks lost...can it be put behind your couch with the other things or maybe just bringing it farther into the room would work? Maybe a tall plant in that corner where it was, if you decide to move it.

HI -- It's a nice room but kind of dark and brown ... but it looks comfortable and warm . The rug has great color so if you can find a big square modern box frame painting with reds and blues that would be great . Black and white big art is very in right now and one also big painting for behind the chair is also good . Your other pictures need to lower as said before . I would not have anything between the windows if you get bigger fuller drapes . Also pickup some of those colors for a few items on the shelves . Look for display ideas here on Houzz . Go on You Tube and watch some " Modern house tours " . Lots of ideas there . Just remember not every wall needs something on it . Also on You Tube look for Dale Alcock Home tours --- I love his houses and the decorating . I love your rug ... it is the bright spot in the room. Good choice ! Buy Art you will love and not just for it's colors , ok !

You could lighten the room instantly by removing the top of the entertainment center.

Center your art between the edge of the curtain and the end of the sofa.
