goldfish with snail.

I have two goldfish in a fish tank and was wondering what would a black mystery snail benefit the the health of the tank(fish)?

Beware goldfish! And snails!

We had some snails come in on on a plant and so then we got lots of snails.

Also the fish....We were given 2 pet shop goldfish (about an inch, maybe?) and now we keep having to buy bigger and bigger tanks. The newest is a hundred gallons. For 2 goldfish.

They're about 8 inches at present.... :(

There is a snail that will reproduce too much, over-running your tank, not sure if it’s the one you have in mind. There is an aquarium forum here somewhere, but I can’t find it. Your best bet is to ask at the pet store where they have the snails.
