You really need a headboard....uncomfortable without one, and hair will leave oil marks on wall...even when clean! Art on walls, nightstand with good reading light.

Drapes in a blue insread of that burlap color and IMO a new wall color and of course a headboard.That lamp is too small and it needs to be a good reading light too.The bedding does nothing for me but if she loves it then it works. Right now it looks like a dorm room it has no personality so needs to add some art for sure

I just painted the room. The colour is a beige that is from the comforter. My daughter loves the comforter. How tall should a lamp be? The carpet is blue and I cannot afford to change it now. Could I put a small rug next to the bed?

Maybe a print roman blind or short, fuller curtains would be better. In kids' bedrooms I think long drapes are generally impractical. And this style of a panel on each side of a short window kind of makes me think of a girl with lank hair parted in the middle and dragging her face down. (I was that girl and I have a daughter who is that girl so I speak from experience lol).

Other than that there definitely needs to be some of her personality brought back in!

Hi, she is 19 years old . This bedroom gets a lot of sun but also get very cold in the winter. (she likes to keep her door shut so I think that doesn't help with the temperature)

Navy, light blue or white for curtains. Target has some very reasonably priced blackout panels that will also provide some insulation in the colder weather. A headboard can be very inexpensive and would add a finishing touch. I would add a wall mounted reading light to save nightstand space as suggested. These panels are light blocking and are only $10 each. They have a bit of a denim texture. I would hang them from rings versus the rod pocket to make them easier to open and close.

Might you be able to reorient the bed so it is under the window? You should still have space for a headboard and the window panels end up framing both the bed and the window. That would leave the wall where you have the bed open for a large framed “bulletin board” so she can pin all her favorite pictures and mementos.
