I've noticed the same thing. I'll type "penny tile mosaic", and get anything with a "penny", a "tile" or a "mosaic" in it. Which means I'm getting EVERY kitchen and bathroom picture on the site, since they all have tile. No clue how to fix it.

It helps to use Google instead of Houzz/GW to search, though I just tried to find a thread about testing quartzite by karin_mt to no avail.

The search feature on this site "needs work", to put it mildly.

Agree, the search feature is ineffective. I think that is contributing to why the posts /threads seem so haphazard and random and redundant. In the old days, you could really put in a term in the search feature which would work to return threads from even years ago (and certainly weeks or months ago) and you could bring them back to life. Now not at all so the value of the forums has really declined. I too wish the search feature could work.

He is not using a GW search for previous posts--he's searching in Houzz for photos.

Try using fewer words. It's probably showing you everything tagged Benjamin Moore so try searching Mink. Of course with a paint color you won't get many results unless it's a very popular one.

Using minimum words is a good tip. Leave out all common terms. Don't put "purple walls", because you'll get everything with walls. Just try "purple", at least there is less to flip through that isn't relevant.
