Possible burr knots on my apple tree

Hello,

I was out gathering rootstock and I saw this on my Pink Pear Apple.

This was the largest mass I removed. I saw a smaller “lump” that
I could scrape with my nail (thinking some kind of scale) but, this
seems to be directly over the wood.

I will explore more when it stops raining.

Could it be a burr knot forming?

I can try and post better pictures (when it stops raining).
