Rustic is pretty easy . . . some rough stone, a beam mantel, some barn planks, etc.

The arched fireplace in your living room ideabook is a good start. The beam mantel and fieldstone give you some nice texture.

I have to say that your collected ideas in your different ideabooks don't look anything like any farmhouse I've ever been in. :-)

I can tell form the photos that you have gathered that you like white walls, and textures, with some rough wood thrown in. It is a lovely aesthetic, and very easy to apply to just about any form.

Some things to think about:

That is a basic, "builder" model fireplace in your photo above, and a little outdated already. Before you spend a lot of money on refacing the fireplace, think very seriously about whether or not you want to look at those louvers for the next 15-20 years. This might be the time to upgrade, especially if the fireplace is more than ten years old.

Also, I'd really need to see the whole wall to make any intelligent suggestions. In fact, it wouldn't hurt to see some other photos of your decorating style to see where you want to go with this.
