They can take a heavy trim easily. Just don't trim below the graft. If you're coming into warmer weather it'll come back quickly.

Fingers crossed. Will update in a couple weeks. I'm in zone 8a in north texas. Its in the 70s in the day but Im keeping it under the patio. Should I put it back in full sun?

You don't want those Bob,unless you want to try grafting and even then,they will be pretty far gone by the time you get them.

I finally got my seedling tree ready for the big time, got sionwood from good sources, Sweet tart, Ice Cream and Aromanis.

Looks great Bob,you've been at it for some time I see. Interesting to see how a multi variety potted Mango turns out. I heard Ice Cream is one of the tastiest of Mango cultivars.

Pwr, how long has your tree been in that pot? It looks to me that the pot is a little on the small size. I use Espoma Citrus/ avocado fert.

its been in that pot for 1.5 yrs. I was debating if i should up-pot it to the bigger pot in the picture. Ive been hesitant because i want to make sure it needs to be moved up in order to avoid putting it in a much bigger pot and the soil not drying out fast enough. Once the soil drys out ill pull it out real quick and see how the roots are doing.
