Canna bulb? I have some that can be eaten.

I have those vines there such a pain. Never seen a root that big. never had a name and didnt know any uses so thanks

Glenn, I had no idea these tubers could be so big either. Amazing isn't it? I almost hate to get rid of it.

I've been trying to eradicate them out of my yard. Pretty hard to do since I have woods on both sides. I really hate tripping over them at night.they always cut up my legs when that happens.

I eat the tender tips of these vines. It's a good time of year to harvest them. They're very tasty. I've actually fried some in coconut oil and they were yummy!

I looked in to eating the tubers once, but it sounded awful. You have to do a bunch of post processing and it still tastes like sawdust. I think it was on the 'survival only' list. Let me know if anyone knows different, because I am always looking for uses for otherwise horrible stuff.
