I think I’d pick something else if you can.

Not sure I like the size. It makes the room seem sort of lopsided. Also, not wild about the pattern or color, for that matter. The pattern is so linear as is the furniture layout. Something more organic in pattern might be better. Something with a bit of color would probably help the room pop more. Good luck.

IMO it's fine. I would pull the rug to the right so that the TV unit's front is resting on it. Your room is just "starting out" which is why you are doubting yourself.

I do think you could pull it out from under the couch a bit and get some of the cabinet on it or try a smaller size. The current position makes the couch and rug look separated from the tv cabinet. Or turn it 90 degrees and see how it looks.

I agree. Something that goes with the blue couch. Reposition the rug to bring the tv into the group, add some window treatments and art, and you'll have a nice room there ready for finishing touches.

I think it works if the pattern is something you like. I agree with hanging artwork above the fireplace. And have you considered Roman shades versus blinds? That will add some softness and color to the room.
