    It is cherry with a clear stain. Cherry will darken over time with UV exposure, other woods can bleach in the sun, cherry darkens. Old cherry furniture looks almost like mahogany. So make sure you look at both old an new cherry cabinets, so you know you will like the color they are initially, and the color they will become.
