Handle for Keypad Deadbolts?

Currently have a traditional deadbolt and handle with lock as well (two locks total). When people generally install the keypad locks, do you just install a dummy handle or closet handle? I'm assuming if you install a handle with a lock it would defeat the use of a keypad, right? Thanks and sorry if it's a silly question!

Normal lock. Unless you want to keep your house unlocked if your fancy keypad decides to fail. Also nice to have a bckup lock if you’re headed out of town and not expecting anyone.

Have a keypad deadbolt and separate locking handle. Love the keypad deadbolt, so glad I put it in. BTW, the battery was easier to change than I expected.
