I love white sheers.

Shutters won't work with those crank handles. Sheers are a good choice or some other casual treatment as it's a cottage. Do you need to put something up for the first window?

They are nice but much too sheer. 15 years old and time to go.

For sure remove the valance. Too big and not casual enough for beadboard or lake house.

Use a cafe curtain. You can see out + get some light. Looks very good with beadboard.
