looking for any thoughts/ideas regarding our planned renovation to the main floor of our 1800sf home. We were hoping to open up the main floor as much as possible and I'd like to add another window or two at the back of the house as that is where we get the most light. the windows at the side of the house are very close to a brick wall and therefore I never open the curtains. any ideas would be appreciated. would you keep kitchen in it's current location and open the walls or move it to the other side of the house? I've attached an image with the current floor plan and a couple of proposals for new floor plans.
