The washer and dryer are both white and 45" tall and we're getting hardwood installed, I'm thinking similar color as the attached picture

Would you suggest we wallpaper all of the walls or just one or two as a final wall (s)?

You say you can't spend much on wallpaper ... have you ever tried stenciling? I personally love it, and it's so much cheaper than wallpaper. It takes FOREVER to do the painting, but it's not at all difficult. The big secret is wiping away most of the paint from the brush.
