We are a dealer for Oceania, so I am biased. I do like their quality. We have had one in our showroom that we take to home & garden shows. We have moved this tub in the bed of my truck - in moving trucks - all around our showroom - for 4 years now. It is tough, easy to adjust (4 adjustable feet on the bottom), has had hundreds of "test drives" at the shows, and still looks great!

Hello. This thread is a bit old, but I thought I'd reply to ask what your decision was and if you went with Oceania have you been happy?

I am in the same boat - looking for a replacement tub for kids/guest bath and want to keep a tub - for kids and resale. Although this isn't our only bath it tends to be the primary family bath and I'm not particularly tall - thus, the kids and I don't want a super deep bath, but it seems like it would be nice to have a deeper bath than our current 14" bathtub. I never heard of Oceania but a local dealer recommended them and they have a 16" tub with a high overflow - so it seems like a great fit, but I can't find any reviews on this company. Therefore, I'm curious if you installed an alcove tub and if you liked the quality.

Wow, you are so nice to reply (and still checking Houzz emails). I'm happy to hear that the non-slip is working. Our old cast iron tub has patterned zig zags and this tub's non-slip was hard to see, but the dealer assured us the texture works. Do you by chance recall the size tub you installed? They have a 60x31x17.5" and a 60x30x16" - and 60x32x18" - I'd be happy to go to a 32" wide but I'm finding the 18" a bit tricky to easily get over (burden of being 5'3"). I agree, I'm kind of amazed by the dif. a high overflow makes - 16" tall option and it can go up 14" deep in case an adult actually wants a bath. We used our 60x30x14" (maybe shorter than 14" tall) tub -- it feels smaller - for the kids and it worked great, but I'm installing a hand-shower now which I wished I had when the kids were younger, plus it should make cleaning easier.

Oops I read the spec sheet wrong - 16" and goes up to 11.5" depth.

No problem -- happy to help! I just looked it up and we have this one: Oceania-PU60L01. I don't find it difficult to get over it at all (I'm 5' 6"). It's easy for both kids to get in and out as well. It's a good height when kneeling next to it to give a bath too IMO. When I measured, it was actually closer to 17.5" tall because of the tile, etc. I don't know if that makes a difference, but something to keep in mind. We also installed a hand shower and I love it for rinsing my little one's hair when she's taking a bath and for cleaning. Makes a big difference! Good luck with your project!

We tried out the Oceania Pure 6030 alcove bathtub (made in Quebec) at a local plumbing store in the Los Angeles area. The salesperson referred to the tub as "Forte" (the distributor for the tub) and claimed that it was made by Hydro Systems (in California). We were comparing this tub with the Hydro Systems Sydney alcove tub, also on display,
