When placing seating on the island, at what length do you need the additional support of a table leg?

Hi, The leg supports needed for a counter top will vary depending on the type of overhang used and how much of the slab is fully supported by cabinets. Concealed steel supports are commonly used to minimize the number of legs needed. Those were used in this case. A general rule of thumb for typical seating overhang is to provide a leg or steel support at each corner and then every 3 feet or so between. It case is different and considerations must be made for the type of counter top, shape etc.
