Unprofessional Contractor - Think twice before hiring 1st Choice Enclosures

We contracted 1st Choice Enclosures to install a screen enclosure. We were told that our project would take 4 or 5 days max -- it took them over four weeks! Delay after delay and never a legitimate reason nor did they contact us to let us know they would not be coming as promised. The team that finally arrived was new to the trade and their workmanship was sloppy with no supervision at all. They left metal shards in our driveway, landscape beds and courtyard which we had to clean up daily. They set-up their work bench in one of our landscaped beds destroying several shrubs. When they left for the day on Friday, all of their work materials was left on the driveway, we called the office and were told they wouldn't return until Monday! We had to clean up and store their tools and materials for them.

After two rejections by the city and the job was finally completed we agreed to a slightly reduced price because of the excessive delays and poor quality. We were surprised when we checked our credit card statement to find that they OVERCHARGED us. We called requesting a credit/correction and the owner verbally threatened us with legal action if we disputed the charge.

The entire experience was horrible from beginning to the end. Think twice before hiring them for any project! Bullying customers is an unprofessional tactic that hopefully will drive them out of business!
