I would not bother but I am happy with 95% right. Having every little detail just so is expensive and I don't get much personal satisfaction from fussing about details. What is the cost and how much value is it going to add to your life? It looks just fine to me and your visitors will not care either, but if it is going to bug you every time you see it, then do it

We would normally trim this out like the remainder of the cabinets if it faces a living area. If it’s close to another wall or isn’t easily seen the flat end is normal.

Thanks Graham. Yes we left it as is because like you said it isn’t facing a living area it’s facing a hallway so we thought only the end that’s incorporated into the rest of kitchen needed the trim / false doors

Thanks Jennifer. The other side is incorporated into the kitchen which is why we finished it and this blank end faces a hallway so we left it blank. This is just one of this small dumb details that likely will only bother me

How much space do you have between the right side of the fridge and the counter?

How many inches from the fridge to the counter where the raspberries are?

If you finished the side where the Frig goes it makes sense to finish the other side. I would do the false decor doors.

I don't think adding more ledges to dust would be your only choice? I'd display family photos or some heirloom kitchen tools, (Grandma's measuring cups? Strainer?) or anything you have a collection of, ...children's artwork, photographs, or place a piece of furniture there like a coat and umbrella rack, or a small table with peppermints and butterscotch in candy dishes, and oval mirror. I think you could do any variety of appropriate display there....seasonal or sentimental...a dry wreath, vase of fresh flowers??......even a dry erase board made from a shower wall cut to size at your neighborhood big box store, a bulletin board, family calendar? You could be creative in some way with that open space. I don't know for sure what is opposite that blank wall, but it would help you decide the best option for that area and your family needs..

Add panels or leave it as it is. Either is fine but keep it simple. This isn't an area you want to call attention to.

Lol yes Angel the rest of the kitchen is currently dark and the dark cabs are being sprayed next week the same colour as the pantry (SW Extra White)

And to whoever asked there is 4’ between the pantry and the island currently but soon getting a new island and there will be 6’

And yes the pantry is “odd” the whole kitchen is. This is just a temporary fix until we gut it and start over but due to budget that won’t be for 5 years. I needed storage currently

I think it's a very creative and nice looking way to have more storage(beats the heck out of bakers' racks and baskets loaded with canned goods and appliances) I see no reason to apologize for it. I see no reason to add more money to 'finishing' a perfectly painted surface, and really I see no reason WHY you want to really paint your kitchen white either? After you LIVE with a 'white kitchen' for 3 years or less, you will never go back there again. That pantry storage is fine as is, and the only other thing you might could have done(don't go back) is paint the largest face of it the same as the wall color you currently had there, or paint it darker in a tone that was very close to your cabinets color(than it would look like what it is)... But you did a great thing and if others see it that need it, they will be doing so tooo! :D

What does the back of the pantry open into? What room is it in?

What about making it your message center? You can add a sheet of stainless, trim it out and then use magnets for kids art, etc. and keep it all in one place.

Make the cuboard a walk in

I don’t know what you have near that little cart I can see... but from the little I can see in the photo I would hang art on that wall nearby. Something decent sized at least 16”x20”. Perhaps a framed print or framed poster or chalkboard? Having something pretty there above that cart will draw your eye away from what now bugs you. I’d rather put $ into pretty art, plus, later down the road you may put more color on your kitchen walls and that would likely “fill in” what seems to be missing.
