What do they do that makes it distressed.

I wondered what the difference between distressed and regular is. The photos don’t show much. How is it lifetime warranty which company? Also the colors if it’s ordered and made can I pic a different color? I have another chair that is a blue green. What type of wood is this that is rot proof?
