Germinating cacti with small seeds

Ive recently read(which was kind of late) that the seeds need be sprinkled on the surface and uncovered, for species like red flowering parodia, or blossfeldia.....

To anybody growing these, any thoughts , advice, experience???

    yes, surface sown for cactus seeds, just apply gentle pressure on soil to make sure there is good contact so they stay moist.

    I used to bury most of my seeds, around a 5th of and inch with predominantly sand mixture on top of the soil. It worked for 70% of the plants, except for a few, most of which performed well. However, like i wrote, the tiny seeds didnt perform as well....
