Building a home and need advice on type of flooring to choose for the main living which is on the first floor. It's an open floor plan so we'd like to keep it one style. So... Wood or tile (limestone, marble, etc)?? Things to consider: wood in kitchen and powder room as well as functionality and safety(?) for infants/toddlers with stone... Anything strongly preferred for resale?
