I live in northern Mississippi (zone 7a - rarely see single digit temps) and the house we bought last year has 5 evergreen trees planted along a 30ft stretch of a privacy fence that I'm planning on removing and replacing with 2-3 pluots next spring. Is 10 foot spacing too narrow or should I settle on 15 foot and only have 2 trees? If you could only pick 2-3 varieties which would they be? Anyone in the deep south having much luck with pluots and if so which varieties?
